Fixing up the house

We have made two improvements to the house so far. First, we took out the tree in the front yard. It had branches over our roof and the neighbors but when we got the quote to trim it back we were told it was sick - it had some kind of beetle - and would die within a year anyway so we went ahead and took it out. We will eventually put another in. Gavin and Aaron also took out the rose bushes in front of the garage. Our plan is to rehabilitate the lawn and to put in at least one tree and some other flowers. Its a slow process, though.
We also got a new front door. The old one had lots of glass windows that were very thin and let out a lot of noise. The door was also cut very wrong and let a lot of drafts in. We were not able to get a fancy door with the glass at the top because the size is not really standard. We ended up getting a plain ole wood door but hey, it fits perfectly so no drafts and you can't hear everything through it.
